Storytelling
A whole strong story being the trip plan. We took the famous super-hiking story from Mojave, California to Columbia River between Oregon and Washington states, and made it adaptable for you: Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail.
From Wikipedia: “Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail is the 2012 memoir by the American writer, author, and podcaster Cheryl Strayed. The memoir describes Strayed’s 1,100-mile hike on the Pacific Crest Trail in 1995 as a journey of self-discovery. The book reached №1 on the New York Times Best Seller list, and was the first selection for Oprah’s Book Club 2.0. The film adaptation was released in December 2014 and stars Reese Witherspoon as Cheryl Strayed.” link
You could repeat this journey by car, and do occasional hikes along the route. You can stretch and compress the overall duration to the days you want. You can bend it as you wish.
Visuals
What if all visuals were in the same style? What if that style would be cool itself? What if we don’t do any decorations, but find such style? What if we find something so curious that it exists only in one style?

Can something be so quirky as Atlas Obscura and so stylish as the above El Camino Real journey? I am sure this theme has a name!
