North Coast 500
“The North Coast 500 (aka NC500) is a circular road of about 500 miles in Northern Scotland. It leads to a rather rural area with Inverness and Ullapool as the largest towns on the way. Due to the rural environment, contact with locals is usually more direct and friendly than people in big cities may be used to. You might be surprised how often you will be offered help or what a kindly asked question might get you.” Wikivoyage.
There is an alternative story by National Geographic if you want — Finding Scotland on a Drive Along the North Coast 500. Pick up the points you like, throw them into Curiosio, get your options.
Britain’s Motorsport Valley
Any techno geeks out there? The Home of Formula One is here. Inspiration for Britain’s Motorsport Valley trip originated mainly from BBC, with some points from Oxford Royale Academy. Speeding-drifting roadtrippers must take this journey, no excuses.
Curious fact: there is similarity between the route and Silverstone Circuit. Happened absolutely unintentionally.
“Britain leads the world in motorsport. We host rounds of the Formula One World Championship and the World Rally Championship. Several leading F1 teams are based here, including McLaren, Williams, Mercedes, and Lotus. The industry employs thousands and contributes billions to the economy. And its heart in the UK is Motorsport Valley.” Oxford Royale.
The Ultimate Wales Road Trip
Enjoyed the Motorsport Valley above? There are more pit-stops for you. “Follow our itinerary to nip between picturesque Pembrokeshire pit-stops”. Condé Nast Traveler. We took The Ultimate Wales Road Trip by Condé Nast Traveler and made it a return trip from London.
A Historic Path in Scotland
This inspiration came from Frommer’s comprehensive historic path in Scotland. “The following tour is one of the most history-rich in the country. It could be called “Scotland in a nutshell” in that it leaves from Edinburgh and includes everything from beautiful scenery, such as the Trossachs, to historic palaces, such as Scone, and even the royal castles of Glamis and Balmoral. The tour also includes the home of golf at St. Andrews and the country’s most charming fishing villages at East Neuk.” Frommer’s.
Braveheart places and heritage of Sir William Wallace, battles and castles...
England’s Cornwall Coast
“On a wild-food-gathering adventure in the region that is a key player in the farm-to-fork conversation, the expertise behind the world’s most exploratory car is flipped into gear.” Condé Nast Traveler. We liked A Foraging Road Trip Along England’s Cornwall Coast and made it interactive.
Doc Martin was filmed in the Cornish village of Port Isaac. Port Isaac is present in the trip plan.
