Fresh from the Lab testing — Curious India. In this post, we will describe what and how we tested in India to ensure the quality is high. If we road-tripped in India right now — we would use Curiosio to create cool trip plans.

Indian Variety

This is a journey by Curiosio Originals. We wanted to make a trip plan with rich Indian spirituality, information technology, Himalayas, Indian tea, and reach to the water.

The starting point is Lucknow. 40 ha IT City is planned by the state government as a special economic zone, which is expected to create thousands of jobs. Then, Varanasi, with the sacred Ganges, and famous numerous ghats. Then mountainous Indian tea in Darjeeling, Kurseong, Mirik, Siliguri. You can enjoy FTGFOP tea (aka Finest Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe, though it is easier to remember as Far Too Good For Ordinary People). And the finishing point is Kolkata, with a rich history and sandy beaches.

Sikkim Silk Road

We tested whether we could wrap the original itinerary into its interactive version because it is bordering Tibet/China, it is mountains and mountain passes. It’s always tricky in the mountains. It’s always blurred at the borderlines. The goal of the extreme testing is to ensure we got those points and places, all of them that mentioned in the original travel story. At least all of them that are listed on English Wikipedia.

Erotic Art

“The Khajuraho is a city of Group of Monuments is a group of Hindu temples and Jain temples... They are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The temples are famous for their nagara-style architectural symbolism and their erotic sculptures… Of the surviving temples, the Kandariya Mahadeva Temple is decorated with a profusion of sculptures with intricate details, symbolism and expressiveness of ancient Indian art.” Wikipedia.

Here is a trip plan that combines classic and quirky points and places. When we introduce Themes in Curiosio the default “Curious” theme will be a well-balanced juxtaposition of classics vs. quirkiness.

Thank you for reading. Now it is a good time to navigate to the web site and check out Curious India by running your own searches.

PS.

When we will introduce Themes? In Beta12, maybe in Beta13. Right now we are at Beta11, i.e. very very soon! Stay tuned and follow your curiosity.
