Hey fellow travelers and supertravelers, we released the smartest, friendliest and nicest version of Curiosio. It was codenamed Signature Tours. Curiosio is a web app. We tested it in the latest Chrome, Firefox and DuckDuckGo browsers; didn’t test in Safari yet. Check it out at https://curiosio.com.
Travel Stories
You can turn any travel story into bookable tour. Take a trip you like and turn it into the trip you want. For example, you stumbled upon the road trip through Tuscany’ breathtaking countryside by National Geographic.
You read it, watched the pictures, googled it for more, liked this itinerary. You like this itinerary so much that you want to take this [or similar] trip. What you do? Select Italy at curiosio.com, enter the first and last points according to the story, enter all other points between them, specify duration, budget, hit [GET TRIP] to get a unique itinerary optimized for your unique requirements.
We linked to some best of the best itineraries on the Web by National Geographic, Condé Nast Traveler, Travel + Leisure and others. You can pin those itineraries to the dates you like. You can [Supertrip] them if you want to change the points, durations, budget, comfort, people etc.
Travel Ideas
You can turn any travel idea into bookable tour. Especially if you are travel expert, supertraveler, travel influencer. We described how to turn an idea into the journey a month ago or so. Look how we created Curiosio Originals.
We are working with a supertraveler to conceptualize this further, to design whole productivity pipeline, to make it ready for massive scalability. You can do your own Originals, link to your travel stories, travelogs. Travelers who are your followers can like and love Your signature tours like they liked the Natgeo story. Experts will have alternative to full-time employment by doing this.
Next Steps
The main function of Curiosio is simple and fast search for any journey ever happened or any journey that can happen. It is search into the past and into the future. It is search for a user, it is computational intelligence behind the scenes. The backlog of tasks is long. Here is the list for curious readers:
- More Originals. Experts and supertravelers convert own original itineraries into their Signature Tours.
- Automated transcribing of the travel stories from the Web. From text blogs, videos, series of pictures etc.
- Transcribing travel stories into standardized format (machine friendly schema.org). There are reusable abstractions, run a hackathon to try.
- [Supertrip] from standardized itinerary format back to standard format. Doorway to bleisure trips, B2B exchange.
- Extend Knowledge Graph with quirky points and places. There are many classic POIs from Wikivoyage and Wikipedia. There will be tons of freaky from Atlas Obscura.
- Increase geo coverage. Add islands.

- Multi-modal transportation.
